The Parikh Family Companies have been leaders in all areas of the diamond supply-chain for several decades. This story begins in Bombay circa 1960 when brothers Mahendra and Jitu became diamond traders and earned a stellar reputation for service and reliability. In the late 60’s they were one of the first Indian Diamantaires to receive a DTC “sight” by DeBeers. Through their hard-working hands and bound by unbreakable values, seeds were planted for what was to become one of the world’s most powerful consortiums of diamond trading and manufacturing.
In 1975, Mahendra set a different course and relocated to Antwerp, opening the Diarough offices in the heart of Europe’s diamond trading capital, paving the way for globalization and decades of growth supplying the world’s most famous European brands.
In the following years, new generations of Parikhs joined the ranks of the company in Asia and North America, expanding operations while maintaining the values and principles of the founders.
